Meet The Chef
Fred Piehl is the Executive Chef and Owner of The Smoking Goat Restaurant and it's sister restaurant, One Door North. Fred's culinary influences can be traced back to his childhood in Echichens, Switzerland and his culinary training at Le Cordon Bleu, Paris.
He marries French cuisine with the bounty of San Diego in a way that is rustic, yet refined, imaginative, yet unpretentious. He has created an award-winning bistro located in the heart of North Park, San Diego that has a treasured following among culinary enthusiasts.
The Smoking Goat is committed to carefully sourcing local, sustainable and organic ingredients to provide guests with a unique culinary experience, reminiscent of the European countryside.
